Having reached the Golgo di Baunei, a mythical place due to its unspoiled nature, and parked the cars, we will start our journey towards the crests of Bacu Padente, the mountain ridges that fall on the relative canyon and which will allow us to admire an amazing view along everything. path.
Seven abseils in total, the highest of which is 30 meters high.
Leaving the cars, a path will allow us to set off towards the first abseils, crossing stretches of limestone expanses, furrowed fields flanked by ultra-centuries-old junipers which, like sculptures of time, will keep us company for a good part of the way.
We will reach panoramic points of suggestive beauty, and after about an hour of walking we will reach the first abseil, 30 meters, of vertical rock, and in front of us a succession of verticality that can undoubtedly be defined as one of the most beautiful rope routes in the ‘Island.
After the first 3 abseils, we will arrange the front lights on our helmet and then enter the cave of Su Tentorgiu, a cave that we will cross for about 15 minutes, inside which we will be able to observe some beautiful rocky concretions. Our exit door will be a beautiful arch from which we will resume with our abseils, this one of 15 meters.
Along the way we will meet some “ladders and fustes” built and used by shepherds who were once the only inhabitants of such a harsh and hard terrain. Everything will end with a rope descent, the icing on the cake of this unique path, 30 meters on a cliff a few steps from the sea, between the lapping of the waves, a few steps from the famous cave of the fig tree, another jewel of this karst environment.
From here, our return path will begin, passing over a cliff, to reach Su Padente, a holm oak wood with some centuries-old specimens.
