Bau Mela is a stream located in the wild heart of Ogliastra, in the municipality of Villanova Strisaili. Upon arrival at the parking area, you’ll find yourself immersed in a land where centuries-old holm oaks still reign—an authentic and awe-inspiring place that captures the essence of unspoiled Sardinia.
Here we have the spectacular natural pools of Bau Mela, which we will explore through a mix of jumps and rope descents, the highest of which is 7 meters. We’ll complete a total of 5 rappels, using various techniques that will help us gain confidence with both vertical movement and the aquatic challenges typical of canyoning environments.
At the end of the route, a short 15-minute walk will take us back to the cars—ready to relax after an unforgettable adventure.
